The Demo Farm is more than just a site for agriculture; it is a living laboratory born from the belief that true transformation happens when we step out of our comfort zones and engage with the ground reality.

The Philosophy of “Learning by Doing”

At the core of our vision is a simple, non-negotiable principle: Participation over Observation. We believe that you tend to forget something you haven’t actually done yourself. That is why every visitor—whether a student, a donor, or a guest—is encouraged to:

  • Work with their hands and contribute physically to the farm’s daily life.
  • Move beyond the “visitor’s outlook” to gain an authentic understanding of the processes that sustain us.

A Bridge for the Next Generation

We are committed to exposing rural and semi-rural youth to diverse and dignified ways of earning a living. Our farm serves as a vital hub for:

  • Local School Students: Groups from across the block visit to observe modern techniques and discover new career paths right in their own backyard.
  • Future Social Workers: We host students from social work colleges across Maharashtra, providing them with the essential field exposure and project opportunities they need to become effective change-makers.

Reverse Learning for Global Partners

Our dream includes our supporters. We offer a unique “reverse learning” experience for our national and international donors. By bringing urban-based teams to the farm, we help them break away from office environments to witness the raw, honest conditions of village life and the impact of their support on the ground.

Rooted in Local Reality

We don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all model. The Demo Farm is a reflection of the land it sits on, constantly evolving to match local opportunities:

  • In Gadchiroli: We focus on the unique potential of initiatives like piggery.
  • In Wada: We emphasize the growth and scalability of poultry farming.
  • Adaptive Growth: Our mission is to integrate various facets—from training to actual production—ensuring that every initiative is practical, sustainable, and scalable for the community.

“Our dream is to create a space where knowledge is not just taught, but lived.”
